Cingular Prepaid Cell Phones

Cingular offers two types of prepaid plans: Pay As You Go, and Pick Your Plan. With the Pay As You Go plans, you have two options. You can choose a simple plan which is always 25¢ per minute. If you use your phone more than 7 minutes per day or you talk frequently with other Cingular customers, you should choose the other option. You pay $1 per day (only on days you use it) and then the rate is 10¢ per minute, but all mobile to mobile calls between Cingular customers are free. $15 top up lasts 30 days, $25 to $75 lasts 90 days, and $100 lasts a year.

Pick Your Plan is also prepaid but it resembles contract phone plans with monthly rates and inclusive minutes. The more expensive plans include more minutes, but the service and features are the same. Since there is no contract you can switch between them depending on your usage. Text Messages: 5¢ to send and receive. Multimedia Messages (MMS): 25¢. No extra long distance or roaming charges. Nights are 9 PM to 6 AM.
